Our Humble Beginnings

Back in the 1970's, a young and refreshingly energetic couple, Eric and Alice Dawson, started a small watermelon business that grew and became a success story. Their entrepreneurial ventures continued and soon thereafter, they purchased another parcel of land adjacent to the watermelon patch. This time, however, their desire to start something special and with a personal touch led them to focussing on their #1 passion - golf.

Flagsticks was born in the 1983. As experienced businesspeople, the Dawsons soon nurtured the driving range into one of southeastern Florida's finest golf practice facility. Besides a wide range of golf ball basket rentals, we offer many golf lesson packages. Our golf pro, Jake Griffin, is a certified PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) instructor that has been teaching for over 2 decades. He's been featured in PGA Tour's "In The Zone" monthly e-newsletter and was voted as a top 100 amateur instructor by Forbes magazine.
